We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform a variety of inpatient services related to cardiovascular disease management, under the supervision of a Cardiologist and/or Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist.
Essential job functions will include:
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses
- Discuss and complete orders as directed by physicians
- Follow evidence-based standards of practice, adhering to all clinical and safety standards
- Accurately and thoroughly document patient encounters with timeliness and clarity
- Analyze test data to diagnose, treat and arrange appropriate follow up for the patient to ensure continuity of care
- Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency while maintaining professional etiquette and a positive presence
- Communicate effectively with patients, family, care providers, and all parties involved in the patient’s care
- Educate patients and families on how to treat their acute illness and manage their health and well-being
- Maintain positive relationships across facilities and teams.
- Attend company meetings regarding care delivery and operations
- Represent Prime Cardiology of Nevada with a professional, supportive, team dynamic.
Role Requirements:
- Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services across the Las Vegas and Henderson valleys
- Clinical experience in cardiovascular disease management
- Minimum of two years of experience in the inpatient/outpatient hospital settings
- Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution
- Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate
- Current BLS / ACLS certification
- Prescriptive authority and DEA
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
