JOB
This is a Part-Time PositionResponsible for teaching children in the gymnastics program. Must have experience in interested area, as well as enjoy interacting with children. Ideal candidate must have the ability to lead gymnastics classes and knowledge of age appropriate gymnastics. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Recreation Program Coordinator and Head Gymnastic InstructorWork Hours: Tuesday and Thursday between 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm All new employees must satisfactorily complete a background check. A conditional offer of employment may then be made contingent upon the successful completion of drug, and TB tests.This is a Non-Exempt Position
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervise and lead youth ages 5 to 13 in gymnastic classesProvide direct instruction and assistance to studentsSupervise children while using floor mats, balance beams, uneven bars, pommel horse and other gymnastic equipment

Ability to deal with the public, program participants and other employees in a pleasant, courteous manner as required by the position.Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions.Must be able to sufficiently observe unsafe conditions.Must be able to understand and converse with other individuals both in person and over a telephone. Must be able to communicate effectively with other staff and the public.Must have the strength and agility to safely and correctly spot gymnastics students.
