Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV insertions with precision and care, following established protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and update medical records diligently to ensure accurate documentation of care provided.
- Perform venipuncture procedures for blood draws and manage infectious disease care protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist in patient education regarding medication administration, health management strategies, and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Experience
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient medical documentation and patient record management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS are a plus.
