Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our mental health team. The Intake Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth and supportive intake process while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
This role is essential in helping individuals access care by coordinating assessments, verifying information, and guiding clients through the admissions process.
Key Responsibilites
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients via phone, email, and in-person.
- Conduct initial screenings and gather intake information.
- Schedule assessments and coordinate admissions with clinical staff.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain neccessary authorizations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Enter data into electronic health records systems.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, managers, and external providers.
- Provide a welcoming and supportive experience for clients and families.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organized policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, mental health, or administrative coordination preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

- Monday-Thursday, 9:00 - 4:00 PM
- Friday, 9:00 - 2:00 PM
