Responsibilities
- Accurately enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Prepare and compound medications, including sterile IV admixtures and compounded pharmaceuticals, following strict aseptic procedures
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws
- Manage inventory control by stock replenishment, expiration date monitoring, and regulatory documentation
- Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions
- Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards and maintain detailed records of all pharmacy activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in retail pharmacy settings preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and drug regulation laws
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and communication
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments
