Overview
We are seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a department within our store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for driving sales and operational excellence. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our stores meet performance targets while providing exceptional customer service. The Area Supervisor will be responsible for training the store team, optimizing inventory control, and implementing effective processes to enhance team performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operations of assigned retail locations to achieve sales goals and operational standards.
- Monitor and analyze retail sales performance, utilizing retail math to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure effective inventory control practices are in place, minimizing shrinkage and maximizing profitability.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills in customer service, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth among employees.
- Collaborate with store management to negotiate vendor contracts and optimize product offerings based on market demand.
- Conduct regular store assessments with compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Provide feedback and support to store managers regarding performance metrics, staffing needs, and operational challenges.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is essential.
- Strong background in merchandising is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in retail math with a solid understanding of financial reports and metrics.
- Experience in training development with a focus on enhancing team capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation skills to foster beneficial relationships with vendors and stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
