We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our Christian, University-Model school community. Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared lesson plans in accordance with curriculum standards across elementary grade levels
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies
- Implement curriculum development techniques tailored to diverse student needs, including early childhood education, literacy, math, and special education accommodations
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance instruction and student engagement
- Communicate effectively with students from various cultural backgrounds, adapting instruction to meet individual learning styles
- Collaborate with school staff and teachers to ensure smooth instructional transitions and uphold school policies
- Maintain accurate attendance records, student behavior logs, and incident reports as required by mandated reporting laws
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in preschool, elementary, or special education settings is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is advantageous but not required
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation techniques
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and literacy education strategies
- Experience using educational technologies and computers for instructional purposes
- Strong communication skills for parent-teacher communication and teamwork with colleagues
- Previous private school experience preferred.
