Position Overview:
The Floral Designer will be responsible for creating high-quality, aesthetically refined floral arrangements across a range of styles and occasions. The right candidate will have hands-on experience working in a professional floral environment and demonstrate expertise in wedding, sympathy, and everyday floral design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce floral arrangements for weddings, funerals, sympathy, events, and daily retail orders
- Assist walk-in and phone customers with knowledgeable, friendly service
- Maintain flower quality and shop presentation (hydration, rotation, cleaning, restocking)
- Accurately fill orders and meet production timelines
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak seasons and holidays
- Prepare flowers and materials for delivery or event setup
- Uphold company standards for design quality, customer satisfaction, and professionalism
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional floral design experience (required)
- Proficiency in wedding, funeral, and sympathy floral work
- Strong knowledge of flower care, color theory, and design mechanics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hourly position; part-time to full-time availability
- Flexible scheduling with additional hours during holidays and peak floral seasons
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
