We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics and Helpers for a commercial construction project in Hopkinsville, KY. This project is scheduled for 60–70 hours per week, offering steady overtime and long-term work opportunities.
Position Overview:
Sheet Metal Mechanics and Helpers will assist with the installation of ductwork and HVAC sheet metal systems on an active commercial jobsite. Candidates should be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Sheet Metal Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble commercial ductwork and sheet metal systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Measure, cut, and fit sheet metal materials
- Install hangers, supports, and related hardware
- Coordinate with foremen and other trades on-site
- Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards
Sheet Metal Helper Responsibilities:
- Assist mechanics with duct and sheet metal installation
- Carry and stage materials, tools, and equipment
- Help with measuring, cutting, and assembling ductwork
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow directions from mechanics and supervisors
- Support safe and efficient workflow on the jobsite
Requirements:
- Previous sheet metal or construction experience preferred
- Ability to work 60–70 hours per week
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must follow all jobsite safety and PPE requirements
