Lamar Aero is a fast-moving aviation parts and service distribution company supporting aircraft operators around the world. We move quickly, we stay organized, and we rely heavily on accurate information to keep our customers flying.
We’re looking for a Sales Assistant who is sharp, detail-driven, and thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness matter every single day.
This is not a slow or “back office” role — it’s a key support position that keeps our sales operation running.
What This Role Really Is
Let’s be upfront:
This job is heavy on data entry, sourcing, and quoting support.
Most of your day will be spent:
- Entering and managing large amounts of data
- Building relationships with key vendors to ensure we're sourcing the best parts and pricing
- Sourcing aircraft parts and vendor pricing
- Supporting sales reps with quotes and orders
If you like structure, speed, organization, and solving “where is this part / what’s the price / when can we get it” type problems — you’ll do well here.
If you don’t like detailed work, this won’t be a fit.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Quoting
- Support sales team by building quotes and entering customer orders
- Source parts and request pricing/availability from vendors
- Track orders and assist with fulfillment updates
- Ensure quotes and order details are accurate and delivered quickly
- Assist with sales workflow and special projects as needed
Data Entry & Systems Management
- Enter high volumes of data with speed and accuracy
- Maintain product, pricing, and customer information in internal systems
- Update spreadsheets, vendor systems, and databases
- Review and verify data for accuracy before submission
- Keep records organized and up to date at all times
Vendor Communication
- Maintain strong working relationships with vendors
- Communicate clearly and professionally under time pressure
- Gather missing information quickly and efficiently
- Route requests to the correct team members when needed
Operations Support
- Assist with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Support Sales, Purchasing, and Operations teams as needed
- Help keep workflow moving across departments
- Take on additional tasks that keep the business running smoothly
Qualifications Required
- Prior office, admin, customer service, logistics, or sales support experience
- Strong attention to detail (this is non-negotiable)
- Comfortable with high-volume data entry
- Strong communication skills (phone + email)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Excel (required)
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Word
Preferred
- Logistics, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain experience
- Experience in fast-paced operational environments
- Aviation industry experience is a plus, but not required
