Position Summary
The Tire Technician / Light Duty Mechanic is responsible for performing tire services, light mechanical repairs, and routine maintenance. This position also assists with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, as well as supporting other shop operations as needed.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, and install tires on a variety of vehicles.
- Perform tire repairs including patches, plugs, and valve stem replacement.
- Rotate and inspect tires for wear, tread depth, and safety concerns.
- Perform light-duty mechanical services, including:
- Oil and filter changes
- Fluid checks and top-offs
- Battery testing and replacement
- Air filter and wiper blade replacement
- Assist with general and preventative maintenance.
- Pick up and clean up repair areas after work is completed.
- Handle trash removal, junk tire disposal, and overall shop clean-up when time allows.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tire service and/or light mechanical work preferred
- Basic understanding of automotive systems.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and moving heavy objects.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
