We’re not your average donut shop. At Your Mom’s Donuts, we craft big, square, specialty donuts that the Charlotte community loves—flavors rotate often, and smiles are served daily. If you’re upbeat, dependable, and ready to jump into a variety of roles, we want to meet you.
The Role:
We’re looking for a friendly, flexible team member (part-time or full-time) who can support us across a variety of roles, including:
- Barista and donut sales (Matthews store) – Make espresso drinks, lattes, chai, coffee, provide excellent customer service for donut shop customers, order fulfillment, general store operations, opening and closing shifts
- Park Road sales – Pick up donuts in Matthews, transport to our Park Road location (20 mins away), and return (mileage reimbursed, drivers license required)
- Donut decorating – Early morning shifts starting as early as 4–5 AM depending on day and preorders (decorating start time depends on day and preorders)
- Special events – Optional shifts at pop-ups, festivals, and community events
- Back-of-house production (not required, but would be a plus to learn)– Dough production, frying donuts, prepping glazes, and cleaning stations as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Outgoing, dependable, and positive attitude
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- A self-starter who can take initiative and stay productive without constant supervision
- Reliable transportation for Park Road shifts (mileage reimbursed)
- Proficiency with cash handling and point-of-sale tech
- Willingness to pitch in wherever needed
Hours & Pay:
- Typical weekly hours: 15-32
- Shift start times:
- Decorating/production shifts: Can start as early as 4–5 AM
- Front-of-house/coffee shifts: Typically start between 6–7 AM; half day shifts start around 10 AM
- Store hours:
- Matthews: Wed–Sat 7 AM–2 PM; Sun 8 AM–2 PM
- Park Road: Wed–Sun 8 AM–2 PM
- Pay: $10/hour base + tips (typically averages $15–$17/hour)
- Type: Part-time or full-time
- Schedule: Flexible, including weekends and early mornings. Weekends availability is required
