Job Overview
We are seeking vigilant and dedicated Unarmed/Armed Guards in the Dothan Alabama area to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to incidents. Whether armed or unarmed, your proactive presence will help maintain a secure environment while providing excellent customer service. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to oversee activity within the premises and identify potential security threats.
- Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of staff, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to detect unauthorized activity, hazards, or breaches in security protocols.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies by following established emergency response procedures, including fire safety and medical emergencies.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activity for future reference and legal compliance.
- Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of the screening process when required.
- Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and law enforcement collaboration when managing disputes or disturbances on-site.
- Operate equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (if armed), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Conduct thorough searches and manual handling of items or individuals during security checks while adhering to safety standards.
- Enforce security policies and compliance with regulations related to physical security, loss prevention, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles or military service demonstrating strong surveillance and physical security skills.
- Valid certification for firearm handling (for armed guards) or relevant unarmed security credentials.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when required.
- First aid certification including CPR and AED operation is highly desirable.
- Excellent conflict management and de-escalation skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Strong understanding of law enforcement procedures and legal regulations governing security practices.
- Ability to perform background checks accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Physically fit with the stamina to stand, walk, patrol for extended periods, and respond swiftly in high-pressure situations.
