Job Summary:
This position is considered the "jack of all trades." This roll will be responsible for all facets of running the business and making decisions during After Hours including provide professional driver managing, dispatching, customer service, contacting shop and/or vendors for repairs, handling accident and injury phone calls.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Day Shift personnel regarding needs of company
- Dispatch company drivers and owner operators
- Evaluate options available and make decisions based upon the needs of the business
- Communicate directly with customers and drivers to resolve issues that may arise
- Track drivers to insure loads are delivered on time
- Identify and correct issues and maintain open communication with drivers, customers and internal personnel
- Contact shop personnel or vendors as needed for breakdowns or repairs
- Handle accident and injury phone calls and make decisions based upon those calls
- Utilize Samsara for communication
- Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED required, Associates degree in related field preferred; or minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of all DOT regulations including hours of service requirements and drivers logs.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manager
- Proficient with Computers and Microsoft Office
- TMW Systems, Samsara and Bluetree System experience helpful but not required
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Conflict management skills
- Able to work 40 + hours weekly
Working Conditions:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Ability to move about inside office to access files cabinets and office machinery
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Ability to use upper extremities for keystrokes and phone use for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively using an office phone with handset
- Able to lift 20 pounds multiple times daily
- Ability to meet overtime requirements during peak periods with or without advance notice
- Ability to meet internal and external training requirements as needed'
