This position is with a very stable company that primarily writes Homeowners and Dwelling Property coverage and exists to help maintain stability in the Ohio property and casualty insurance market. There are no sales or marketing duties in this position.
Primary responsibilities:
- Review correspondence and reports for processing
- Route non-routine items or risks beyond assigned authority
- Calculate the estimated replacement costs of dwellings
- Respond to inbound calls from agents and customers about application/policy status, payment status, and underwriting guidelines
- Respond to website chats about similar topics
- Aggregate all available information and approve or deny applications based on risk assessment
- Send routine form letters
- Monitor industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes
- Analyze data (internal and external) to assist management in strategic decisions
- Work on special projects to support the Underwriting Department

Education and/or Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree is needed
- Work experience is preferred
- Insurance experience is not necessary

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
