Job Summary
We are a well established endoscopy center with 3 locations: St. Clair Shores, Macomb Township, and Chesterfield. We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding of medical procedures, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work effectively within an outpatient environment.
Responsibilities
· Claim submission and management
· Insurance payment posting and reconciliation
· Denial review, correction and resubmission
· Accounts receivable A/R follow-up
· Reviewing EOB/ERAs and applying appropriate adjustments
· Identifying and addressing underpayment and overpayments
· Communicating clearly with the practice regarding billing issues
· Generating basic reports and summaries as needed
Requirements
· Experience in GI medical billing and coding
· Strong understanding of claims, denials, A/R follow-up and patient follow-up
· Familiarity with Medicare and commercial insurances
· Comfortable working independently and managing billing workflows
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Experience with gGastro or similar systems
·Ability to communicate clearly with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
· Familiarity with medical terminology

· Strong computer keyboard and navigational skills
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
