- Designs and works with high-power elements of controls systems.
- Use standard electrician’s tools to build new and troubleshoot existing controls systems.
- Specific equipment & software – Experience with brands listed is preferred, but the candidate is expected to have familiarity with comparable solutions to those listed: Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLCs, motion controls, HMIs. Safety systems and sensors. ABB & Fanuc robots. SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical. Ignition HMI software and Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View Studio ME & SE. Industrial vision systems – any brand.
- Mechanical focused automation engineer:
- Integrate mechanical elements of a system.
- Design and manufacture mechanical elements of a cell.
- Use standard mechanic’s tools to build new and troubleshoot/repair existing systems.
- Specific equipment & software: CNC mills and lathes, welding, basic fabrication, 3D printers. Familiarity with sheet metal and weldment design. SolidWorks, CAM software (any).
