Job Summary
Cottage Home Care Maryland LLC is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing home care team. In this role, you will travel to our clients' homes throughout [specify area/county in Maryland] to provide essential, one-on-one personal care and daily living assistance. Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients with safe transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair), turning, walking, and light exercise as prescribed in their care plan.
- Health Monitoring: Check and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) and promptly report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, making beds, and keeping the client’s living area safe and clean.
- Nutrition: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions, assist with feeding if necessary, and ensure proper hydration.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engaging conversation, and a positive, safe environment for the client.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely complete all required electronic or written visit documentation (EVV compliance).
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Must possess a current, active, and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license from the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON).
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency is strictly required. You must be fluent in either Spanish or Russian, in addition to being able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
- Experience: Minimum of [1 year, 6 months, etc.] of experience in home care, long-term care, or a hospital setting preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Screening: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, professional reference check, and drug screening.
- Health Requirements: Current TB test/Chest X-ray and proof of required immunizations.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
