Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments efficiently
- Answer phones, return voicemails, respond to emails, and assist with patient inquiries promptly
- Explain office policies, treatment procedures, and insurance requirements clearly to patients
- Coordinate communication between patients and providers to ensure continuity of care and timely follow-up
- Create and send corresponding reports with treating providers for referring dentists before end of day
- Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
- Adhere to confidentiality standards, HIPAA guidelines, and office protocols
- Support daily office operations and assist team members as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Experience with scheduling software such as Dentrix Ascend or CareStack is a plus
- General office and administrative experience preferred
- Dental office experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt is essential
