Position Overview:
We’re looking for entry-level Crew Members for an outdoor role involving travel throughout Northern California. Responsibilities include vegetation management tasks such as line trimming (weed eating), herbicide application, creating and maintaining defensible space, debris removal, and more. This role requires travel with overnight stays up to four nights a week. Crew members travel in company trucks and hotel accommodations are covered for out-of-town work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform labor intensive vegetation management tasks, including line trimming, herbicide application, small brush clearing, more.
- Conduct daily inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
- Safely handle and apply herbicides using backpack sprayers and other equipment.
- Drive company vehicles to job sites and ensure safe, responsible operation.
- Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report safety concerns to Crew Leads and actively participate in safety meetings and trainings.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to work on feet for 8+ hours a day in various terrain while using equipment
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in rugged, outdoor conditions
- Willingness to travel overnight (up to 4 nights a week)
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety
Working Conditions:
This role requires year-round outdoor work, often in remote locations with uneven terrain and exposure to weather and wildlife. This is a fast paced, labor intensive position that involves regular use of hand power tools, extensive hiking, and exposure to elements (year-round).
