Job Summary:
YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Part-time evening position 5:30pm-9:30pm Monday-Friday at school on Seigen Ln.
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented School Custodians to join our team and support local educational institutions. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall facility appearance. Your efforts will help create a positive learning environment for students, staff, and visitors by performing cleaning, custodial tasks, and basic maintenance duties with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Duties:
- Perform thorough cleaning of hallways, restrooms, offices, cafeterias, gyms, and other common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct detailed floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain pristine surfaces.
- Manage waste removal by emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Maintain and operate janitorial cleaning tools efficiently and safely.
- Carry out routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly for resolution.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks including general facilities upkeep such as pressure washing.
- Support the overall appearance of the school by performing porter duties such as moving furniture or supplies as needed.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for everyone on campus.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or institutional settings.
- Strong knowledge of restroom cleaning and sanitation which is the primary focus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and bending.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work and facilities maintenance practices.
