Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of critical communication, security, and data systems, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our clients’ environments. Duties
- Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV surveillance, fiber optic splicing, network wiring, and telecommunication infrastructure
- Perform network installation tasks such as configuring Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6), and VoIP systems to ensure reliable communication channels
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical blueprints to accurately execute system layouts and wiring plans
- Conduct fiber splicing and RF testing to optimize signal integrity across data centers and telecommunication networks
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and network analyzers to identify issues and perform equipment repairs efficiently
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, installation procedures, and service reports for quality assurance
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding system operation, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance needs
Qualifications
- No experience necessary, willing to train the right candidates
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician in telecommunications or electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including AC/DC power supplies and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Proficiency with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), switches, routers (Cisco/Junos), and network wiring practices
- Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, fiber splicing, VoIP telephony (including Avaya systems), and radio frequency testing
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately; familiarity with telecommunication equipment repair is a plus
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear for electrical work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varying technical backgrounds
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel to various job sites as needed

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
