We're looking for a Bartender to join our team, no experience needed. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. If chatting with customers and upselling beer and wine and shellfish sounds like your dream, come on down!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers, providing excellent service while taking drink orders and offering recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during events, banquets, or busy shifts.
- Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, and garnishes; assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Stay updated on current drink trends and menu items to enhance customer experience.
Skills
- Proficient in POS systems for efficient order processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and food handling regulations.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Experience in the food industry, including catering or retail environments.
- Knowledge of shellfish and shucking is a plus
