We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Payment Coordinator to join our healthcare administration team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and insurance processes, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely payment for medical services. As a Medical Payment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing claims, verifying insurance information, and facilitating effective communication between providers, payers, and patients to optimize revenue cycle management.
Duties
- Research maternity network locations for surrogates
- Negotiate on pricing for all maternity services with hospitals or other medical providers
- Process payments for medical bills
- Compare EOB statements to invoices
- Obtain cash rates from different offices such as clinics and hospitals
- Build relationships with billing departments from clinics, OB-GYN offices, and hospitals
- Communicate with surrogates on a daily basis
- Daily upkeep of spreadsheets on Google Sheets
- Additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements/Education:
- 2 – 3 years of Administrative Assistant experience
- (1) year Medical Office Billing/Collections experience
- Bachelor degree required
- Ability to make outgoing phone calls
- Ability to multi-task effectively and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Google Sheets required
- OB/GYN office experience highly desired
Compensation: $26-28 per hour depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time
