The National Accounts TAB Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and executing the testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC systems across our national portfolio. This is a position that requires expert technical proficiency, strong leadership capabilities, and willingness to travel frequently (up to 90%) across the country.
You will:
1. Guarantee that HVAC systems operate at peak efficiency and in compliance with design specifications.
2. Perform on-site TAB operations at various national account locations.
3. Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the scheduling of your TAB Technician & PM team.
4. Ensure all testing processes and instruments adhere to NEBB, AABC, and ANSI/ASHRAE standards. Review, verify, and sign-off on final TAB reports.
5. Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for corporate clients, project managers, and general contractors. Provide clear updates and address any system deficiencies professionally.
6. Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting system performance and other actionable solutions.
7. Manage personal travel schedule, coordinate equipment transport to job sites, and maintain strict adherence to project timelines across multiple states.
Required Skills & Education:
- NEBB or AABC Certified Technician or Supervisor status
- Five or more years of hands-on HVAC TAB experience, with two or more years in a supervisory/lead field-based role, preferably working with national commercial accounts (retail, hospitality, or multi-site logistics)
- The ability to travel extensively overnight and out-of-state
- Deep understanding of blueprints, control diagrams, psychrometric, hydronics, and air distribution systems
- Expert proficiency with TAB instruments (hoods, anemometers, manometers, tachometers)
- Strong computer skills for report generation (Excel, proprietary TAB software)
- Strong communication, project management, and conflict-resolution skills

Physical Demands:
The Controls Technician will frequently work within mechanical and electrical rooms and may encounter hazardous or confined spaces. Employees must be able to do the following during a workday: Drilling, Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Climbing ladders, Kneeling, Pushing / Pulling, Standing for long periods of time, Reaching, Carrying / Lifting, Experience temperature variations.
