Production Associate/Saw Operator
Location: Northwest Houston - 77041
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 - DOE
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM - Some Saturdays as needed
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Production Associate Lead, the Production Associate will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the productions shop, completing assignments given by the Production Associate Lead, monitoring material movements, and maintaining equipment and machines in the Production shop.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Operate pipe cutting, threading, and bending equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts or manually.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Package and label pipe bundles for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Perform routine maintenance on pipe processing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with machinery and tools as needed.
- Document maintenance activities and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Repair damages materials: painting, removing rust, etc.
- Following proper Heat Code on scrap, repairs, and production orders.
- Follow safety protocols and wear the required PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Identifying QA material within the Distribution Center to be moved to the Production Shop.
- Ensure daily paperwork is turned into Inventory Control.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
- Previous experience working in a distribution warehouse environment and/ or fabrication shop.
- This position requires considerable physical activity, including standing for prolonged periods, reaching, bending repeatedly, lifting, pushing, and pulling safely up to 50 pounds.
- Be willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
- Sit-down forklift experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires lifting to 50 lbs.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, and repetitive movement.
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
