Position Overview:
The Construction Superintendent oversees all phases of construction projects from initial planning to final completion. This position ensures that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to company quality standards and client specifications. The Superintendent acts as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, materials, inspections, and daily operations while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and scheduling standards.
- Review and interpret project drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Maintain detailed daily logs, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, clients, architects, and inspectors regarding project status and issues.
- Plan and schedule project milestones, material deliveries, and workforce allocation.
- Ensure site cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance.
- Lead weekly safety and coordination meetings.
- Identify potential issues or delays early and propose effective solutions.
- Demonstrate the ability to think on your feet, adapt to changing conditions, and find practical, cost-effective solutions to challenges in real time.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, or medical and hospitality construction projects. Emphasis on MEDICAL experience!
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and project documents.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to resolving field issues.
- Proficient in project management and scheduling software such as Procore and MS Office, preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain prior to employment.
- Must have a VALID driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to PASS thorough background checks with multiple agencies (as needed per the client’s request).
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience with healthcare, government, or educational construction projects. Emphasis on HEALTHCARE!
- Familiarity with ICRA standards, LEED practices, or other specialized construction requirements.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to speak, read and write in both English and Spanish.
- Heavy machinery operation certifications.
- Experience towing trailers is ideal.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily field-based; must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to travel and stay out of town (within the state) when and if needed pending the job location for weeks at a time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and navigate active construction sites safely.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
