Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation and food service, with a strong focus on quality and presentation. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the meal preparation process for various dietary needs within the dietary department.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in meal presentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
