Job Overview
The Petroleum Maintenance Technician provides maintenance, inspections, and operational support across multiple gas station locations, including out-of-state sites. This role focuses on inspections, equipment tagging, repairs, brand consistency, and preventive maintenance while traveling between assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to in-state and out-of-state locations to support maintenance operations
- Perform inspections of fuel systems, equipment, and site infrastructure
- Tag all equipment accurately to reflect inspection and operational status
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on pump dispensers and related fuel equipment
- Painting
- Support site appearance through landscaping, snow removal, and power washing as needed
- Install and replace quarterly promotional advertisement materials
- Identify larger repairs needed
- Maintain inventory and proper use of maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment
- Responsibly operate company vehicles and comply with travel and safety policies
- Ensure all assigned maintenance tasks meet safety, appearance, and operational standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related technical field
- Strong working knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools
- Ability and willingness to travel long hours
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
- Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, climb, and lift 50+ lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to report inspections back to supervisors
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
