Working Hours: 8am-5pm (Non-negotiable)
Position Summary: Responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child enrolled, in accordance with state standards and Flaming Sword standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of 2 and 3 year old children.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Foster communication with parents regarding children's progress and well-being.
- Provide individualized support to children, including those with special needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and educational strategies.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere for all students.
- Maintain records on each child's progress and development for the purpose of planning and compliance.
- Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development oft of self-esteem and self-discipline.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or NC Credential
- Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with young children
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques
- Experience in curriculum development and implementing early intervention strategies
- Familiarity with special education practices and literacy education for preschoolers
- CPR/FIRST AID- Up to date
- NC Health and Safety Trainings completed through MOODLE or ProSolutions platform
- NC Background check/fingerprints- Up to date
Physical Capabilities
- Be able to lift 25-40 pounds
- Must be able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on the floor, see, hear, and speak with children to ensure the children's health and safety at all time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
