We are a global leader in fire, security, and communication integration solutions, serving enterprise, healthcare, education, government, data center, and retail industries across 70+ U.S. locations and 22 countries. We are seeking an experienced Lead Technician to join our security business unit.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of security technicians responsible for installing, configuring, and testing security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm systems) for new data center construction projects
- Oversee the installation and integration of security infrastructure, ensuring systems are properly installed, configured, and tested per design specifications
- Work closely with construction, electrical, and network teams to ensure timely and coordinated installation of security systems
- Ensure all security systems meet quality standards, including testing and validation prior to handover
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support during installation and commissioning; escalate issues as needed
- Train and mentor junior technicians on installation best practices, safety protocols, and system configuration
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, system configurations, and test results; generate progress reports for internal stakeholders
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, local and national codes, and company policies
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure equipment is delivered on schedule and installed to specifications
- Oversee post-installation testing and troubleshooting; assist with ongoing maintenance and warranty-period supportRequired Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in security system installation (CCTV, access control, intrusion systems)
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Proven experience leading or supervising field technicians or installation teams
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, wiring standards, and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Manufacturer certifications required (Lenel, AMAG, SWH, Genetec, Avigilon, Hanwha, or Axis)
- Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA compliance
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
