The Cook II serves as the foundation of the kitchen team and is responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to established recipes and standards. This position should be capable of working multiple stations independently while contributing to an efficient, organized, and collaborative kitchen.
Cook II employees are expected to continue developing their culinary skills while consistently delivering quality food in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Work assigned stations independently during service.
- Complete daily prep assignments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain proper mise en place throughout service.
- Practice proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations before, during, and after service.
- Support teammates during busy service periods.
- Follow directions and feedback from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Cook I team members.
Key results:
- Produces consistent food with minimal supervision.
- Works efficiently during high-volume service.
- Supports teammates and contributes to a positive kitchen culture.
- Continues expanding station knowledge and culinary skills.
Education/Experience:
- 2–4 years of restaurant kitchen experience
- Comfortable working multiple stations
- Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking fundamentals
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Reliable attendance and professionalism
- Must be able to pass a background check

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (often 50+ lbs.), and work effectively in hot, high-pressure environments.

Requires working quickly under pressure while maintaining extreme attention to detail and food quality.

Must be able to physically reach, bend, stoop and kneel.

Must be able to work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold).

Schedule: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs dictate.
