Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, cabling, and IT infrastructure components.
- Conduct rigging operations and operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely to access elevated work areas.
- Perform welding tasks adhering to safety standards and technical specifications to ensure durable connections.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and utility locating maps to accurately execute project plans.
- Conduct climbing activities on utility poles or structures while maintaining safety protocols.
- Assist with construction site activities, including tree trimming related to utility lines and infrastructure development.
- Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively and efficiently.
- Support field service operations by troubleshooting electrical problems on-site and providing timely solutions.
- Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety regulations during all operations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including cabling layouts, testing results, and repair reports.
Skills
- Extensive experience in rigging, electrical wiring, cabling, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Proven background as an industrial or commercial electrician with knowledge of NEC standards.
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for utility applications and construction projects.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong climbing skills with the ability to work at heights on utility poles or structures.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, high voltage protocols, and IT infrastructure requirements.
- Experience in construction site environments with knowledge of safety procedures related to field work.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, utility locating methods, and using testing tools like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of tree trimming practices related to utility line clearance is advantageous.
