Overview
This position will provide hands-on engineering support across the full development lifecycle, including research, software development, integration, and testing. Responsibilities include evaluating emerging technologies, supporting the maturation of prototype capabilities into reliable software solutions, and contributing to structured testing and performance validation efforts. Provide engineering and technical support services for Mobile Application Analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications, modules, and components using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and technologies, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, collaborating with Agile teams to prioritize development tasks, estimate effort, and provide regular updates on progress.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in software design principles, coding techniques, and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to architectural guidelines. Implement automated testing and continuous integration practices to ensure software reliability and stability.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, translate them into technical designs, and provide input on feasibility and implementation approaches.
- Document software designs, architectures, and implementation details. Share knowledge and best practices with team members through code reviews, technical presentations, and mentoring sessions.
- Identify opportunities for performance optimization and scalability improvements in software applications, implementing optimizations to enhance system efficiency and responsiveness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in software development roles, with experience designing and building complex software solutions.
- Experience with mobile development languages such Java for Android Studio, Swift for Xcode, Objective-C or Rust.
- Experience supporting collaborative Python development projects
- Experience with development in one or more scripting languages or methodologies (e.g., Go, Bash, JavaScript, etc.)
- DevOps Tools: Practical experience with Docker containers and Ansible playbooks.
Desired
- Experience with User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) development technologies, especially with JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Experience in mobile automation and web testing using Selenium/Appium.
- Experience designing working environments and/or programs within Linux-based operating systems (Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian, etc.)Working knowledge of database query languages and mobile database design (e.g., SQLite)
- Familiarity with issue tracking software, such as Jira, as part of a software development team
- Experience with the git version control system.
- Experience leading code reviews.
Clearance Level Required: Top Secret. Will obtain an SCI/CI Poly

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
