Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Caregiver to join our team in Torrance/Palos Verdes area. In this role, you will provide daily support for an 80-year-old woman who is currently navigating a cancer diagnosis and requires assistance with her daily activities to remain safe and comfortable at home.
Because the client is most comfortable communicating in Mandarin, fluency or conversational ability in Mandarin is highly preferred. As this is the family’s first time exploring private in-home care, a patient, reassuring, and highly professional demeanor is essential to help them feel at ease.
Schedule
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Your core duties will include:
- Mobility & Safety: The client ambulates with a walker or cane. You will provide fall-risk supervision and hands-on support with mobility to ensure her safety.
- Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and overall daily grooming.
- Specialized Assistance: The client has a urinary drainage pouch; you will be responsible for assisting with and emptying the collection bag as needed.
- Household & Meals: Preparing daily meals and providing light housekeeping related directly to the client’s care.

Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Mandarin speaking skills are highly preferred.
- At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
- Experience with fall-risk clients, personal care, and hands-on ADL assistance.
- Comfortable and experienced with emptying urinary drainage pouches.
- Reliable transportation, valid car insurance, and a clean DMV record (no more than two moving violations).
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Registered with the California Department of Social Services (including Live Scan fingerprinting).
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
