Overview
AxiomPrint is seeking an experienced, reliable, and technically skilled AccurioJet KM-1 Press Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining the KM-1 digital inkjet press while ensuring each project meets our quality and production standards.
This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 press.
- Review job tickets, artwork specifications, quantities, materials, and finishing requirements.
- Prepare files and production settings for accurate printing.
- Load paper and verify the correct stock, size, grain direction, and quantity.
- Monitor color consistency, registration, image quality, and overall print accuracy.
- Perform press checks and identify defects before completing production runs.
- Make adjustments to color, alignment, feeding, and press settings as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment, software, file, and print-quality issues.
- Complete routine operator maintenance and keep the press and surrounding work area clean.
- Accurately record production quantities, waste, downtime, and job completion information.
- Communicate equipment concerns, delays, and material needs to management.
- Coordinate with prepress, bindery, and production teams to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Follow all company safety, quality-control, and production procedures.
- Meet daily deadlines while minimizing waste and maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
- Previous experience working in commercial printing is required.
- Experience operating a Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 is strongly preferred.
- Experience operating other high-production digital or offset presses may be considered.
- Strong understanding of paper stocks, color, registration, print quality, and production workflows.
- Comfortable working with computers, press software, RIP systems, and digital job files.
- Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
- Able to read and follow job tickets, written specifications, and production instructions.
- Reliable, dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Able to manage multiple jobs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a production team.
- Willing to learn new equipment, software, and printing processes.
- Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle printing materials.

Pay: $26.45 - $31.50 per hour
