American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Louisville, KY, requiring active KY or compact RN licensure and experience in L&D care across low- to high-risk pregnancies.

Work in a Labor & Delivery unit featuring 14 LDR rooms, 3 ORs, and a 4-bed OB ED delivering approximately 3,000 babies per year

Serves a patient population ranging from low- to high-risk pregnancies with 24/7 specialty support available

13-week contract, 36 hours per week

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP

ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Must provide date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, patient and family education, and coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges

Collaborates with an inter-professional care team to prioritize patient needs and ensure continuity of care

Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing

Delegates tasks to and oversees team members within scope of practice

Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
