Duties
- Safely operate forklifts and hand tools to handle and transport parts within the manufacturing facility
- Hang, organize, and inspect parts according to production specifications and technical drawings
- Interpret manufacturing documents, including assembly instructions and process sheets, to ensure accurate parts placement
- Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards of parts before hanging or assembly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow efficiencies and safety hazards
- Follow safety standards in production, including proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in factory or manufacturing environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge and familiarity with assembly line processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documents accurately
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, measuring instruments, and forklift operation
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies is a plus
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to manage production or assembly tasks efficiently
