We offer long-term career stability, competitive compensation, outstanding benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
If you're an experienced CNC Machinist who takes pride in precision work, thrives on challenging setups, and enjoys solving complex machining problems, we want to hear from you.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Class A CNC Mill Setup Machinist for our 1st Shift. This is not an operator position.
We are looking for a machinist with 7-10 years of hands-on CNC milling setup experience who can independently set up complex jobs, troubleshoot machining issues, optimize processes, and consistently produce high-quality precision components with minimal supervision.
This individual will play a key role in supporting production while mentoring less experienced machinists and maintaining the high quality standards expected in medical device manufacturing.
Responsibilities

- Independently setup and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Make program edits and machine offsets as necessary to optimize production.
- Verify first-piece inspections and make required adjustments prior to production.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Select, install, and adjust tooling and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with Engineering, Programming, and Quality to improve manufacturing processes.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and ERP transactions.
- Train and mentor Class B and Class C machinists when needed.
- Follow all company quality procedures, GMP requirements, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Medical device, aerospace, or other high-precision manufacturing experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC Milling (Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers).
- Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis machining.
- Working knowledge of Haas, Fanuc, Makino, or similar CNC controls.
- Ability to edit G-Code at the machine.
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and cutting parameters.
- Experience with Haas probing systems preferred.
- Advanced blueprint reading skills.
- Thorough understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments including:
- Micrometers
- Depth Micrometers
- Calipers
- Bore Gages
