Eveready Roofing & Siding is a roof, siding and gutter repair company serving the community since 1927 both in residential and commercial properties. Long Island General Contracting is a full service design and construction company offering full contractor work including new construction build-outs and repairs.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a hands-on Roofer/Roof Installer with experience installing, repairing and replacing all variations of roofs including work with shingles, slate, gutters and more. This individual should have the ability to work safely and carefully as well as measure with precision. This role will service both residential and commercial customers to provide accurate estimates. This employee will be hired to work at Eveready Roofing and this is a unique role for those looking to continue in the roofing business with the opportunity to advance within a fast-growing company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Physical installation, repair and replacement of roofs including asphalt, 3-tab strip, metal, dimensional, synthetic or other
- Fix and build out of flat, slate and shingle roofs
- Installation of siding, chimney repairs and fascia replacement
- Cleaning out gutters and removal of debris
- Utilization of specialized tools to safety and securely install roofing materials
- Measuring roofing and performing inspections as needed
- Clear communication internally and with customers to gather proper information for estimates
- Support general contracting projects, as needed
- Job tasks will not be limited to the above and may evolve over time
COMPETENCIES
- Compensation based on years of experience as a roofer, or roofing or siding installer. Minimum of 2 years required.
- Ability to work in a team environment and work independently when required
- Strong customer service skills with the capability to communicate clearly and effectively
- High sense of responsibility, urgency and motivated to complete tasks
- Exceptional attention to detail to provide quality work
- Strong listening skills with the willingness to take instruction to execute
- Valid driver's license required
- Requires ability to stand for long periods of time
- Experience climbing ladders, lift, carry and maneuver heavy materials with the ability to lift ~60lbs
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
COMPENSATION
- Hourly pay range: $20 - $35/hour - this does not include yearly raises and annual bonus

- Weekly payroll and paid travel outside of 50+ miles from HQ office (lodging, transportation and other)
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
