Job Summary
We are seeking professional interpreters to facilitate clear and effective communication between individuals who speak different languages. Interpreters will provide accurate, complete, and impartial interpretation while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a variety of settings, including healthcare, legal, government, educational, business, and community environments.
Key Responsibilities
Interpretation Services
- Provide accurate, complete, and impartial interpretation between parties.
- Interpret spoken communication while preserving meaning, tone, and intent.
- Facilitate effective communication without adding, omitting, or altering information.
- Adapt to various interpreting settings and service types as assigned.
Professional Conduct
- Maintain professionalism and neutrality during all assignments.
- Follow client, site, and company policies and procedures.
- Represent the organization positively through courteous and respectful interactions.
Terminology & Accuracy
- Demonstrate strong language proficiency and subject-matter understanding when applicable.
- Seek clarification when necessary to ensure accurate communication.
- Deliver interpretation with attention to detail and cultural context.
Confidentiality & Ethics
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information encountered during assignments.
- Adhere to professional interpreter standards, ethics, and codes of conduct.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity when facilitating communication.
Availability & Reliability
- Attend scheduled assignments on time and prepared.
- Maintain reliable communication with coordinators and scheduling teams.
- Support urgent or time-sensitive assignments when available.
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately complete required assignment documentation and reporting.
- Report scheduling conflicts, concerns, or assignment-related issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of completed assignments as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language.
- Previous interpreting experience preferred.
- Relevant interpreter training, certification, or professional experience is a plus.

Working Conditions
- This position involves in-person assignments at designated locations, where interpreters provide face-to-face interpretation services between parties.
- Work environments may include healthcare facilities, courts, government agencies, educational institutions, businesses, community organizations, or other client locations.
- Interpreters must comply with all applicable client, site, confidentiality, and professional standards.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
