We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team at Bend Pet Express. This part-time position requires weekend availability and involves assisting customers with their pet care needs while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Your role will be vital in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting the right products for their pets, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Perform cash handling duties accurately, including processing transactions and managing the cash register.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and dog wash area to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Restock shelves and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Engage with customers to promote upselling opportunities, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about services offered and address any inquiries they may have.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
- Ability to work weekends as required by the position.
