Maple Ridge Assisted Living is Hiring an Activities Assistant
Maple Ridge Assisted Living is seeking a dependable, outgoing, and compassionate Activities Assistant to help provide meaningful activities, entertainment, and social opportunities for our residents.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift
- Approximately 36–40 hours per week
- Occasional weekend or special-event coverage may be required
Responsibilities include:
- Leading daily scheduled activities
- Encouraging residents to participate in group and individual activities
- Helping coordinate outings, celebrations, games, crafts, exercise, music, and special events
- Preparing activity areas and cleaning up after programs
- Assisting residents to and from activities
- Maintaining activity supplies and helping decorate for holidays and events
- Documenting resident participation as required
- Taking photographs during activities and events when appropriate
- Working closely with the Assistant Administrator and other facility staff
- Providing residents with a positive, respectful, and engaging environment
Qualifications:
- Experience working with seniors is preferred but not required
- Must be dependable, patient, organized, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift supplies, and assist residents as needed
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends or special events
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred for resident outings
- Take resident's to appointments as needed.
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends
Hours: 36–40 hours weekly
Pay: Competitive and based on experience our base rate is $14.50
