Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient part time Dock Worker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, comfortability with technology, and the ability to work both collaboratively within a team environment as well as independently.
Hours are 4:00 pm to closing, typically 8:30-9:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Operate sit down forklift to move products within the dock area.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments from trucks and containers.
- Maintain organization of the dock area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational issues.
- Utilize warehouse management systems for inventory and shipment updates.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
