We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure supporting complex enterprise environments. This role will focus heavily on multi-account AWS architecture, shared services, infrastructure automation, systems management, security, and compliance.
The ideal candidate combines strong AWS architecture experience with hands-on systems engineering expertise and is comfortable working across both Windows and Linux environments. This individual will help develop reusable cloud infrastructure, establish consistent software and configuration baselines, automate systems management, and optimize how resources are deployed and managed across multiple AWS accounts.

Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure across multi-account environments.

Architect and implement shared services and reusable infrastructure patterns that support resources and workloads across multiple AWS accounts.

Design and implement solutions using Amazon FSx and AWS Systems Manager (SSM).

Leverage AWS Systems Manager to support patching, configuration management, automation, inventory, and compliance across Windows and Linux environments.

Establish and maintain consistent software baselines, system configurations, patching standards, and compliance controls across AWS environments.

Design end-to-end AWS architectures supporting applications, infrastructure services, data platforms, and system integrations.

Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or similar technologies.

Define cloud standards, reference architectures, guardrails, and engineering best practices aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Design highly available and resilient AWS environments, including backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Design and implement security controls incorporating identity and access management, encryption, network segmentation, and least-privilege access.

Administer and support Windows and Linux systems within AWS, with an emphasis on configuration, patching, security, and compliance.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, systems administration, configuration management, and recurring operational processes.

Collaborate with engineering, security, application, and customer stakeholders to translate technical requirements into scalable AWS solutions.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation guidance, and operational procedures.

Active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI, CI Poly desired but not required)

8+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.

Experience designing and operating multi-account AWS environments.

Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or equivalent technologies.

Strong Windows and Linux systems administration experience.

Experience implementing and managing patching, configuration management, software baselines, and compliance across enterprise systems.

Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, least privilege, encryption, network segmentation, and secure system configuration.

Experience designing high-availability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

Strong understanding of AWS architecture best practices and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

DOD 8570 IAT II certified (Security+ certification or higher)

Hands-on experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM), particularly for patching, automation, configuration management, inventory, or compliance.

Hands-on experience designing, implementing, or administering Amazon FSx.

Experience designing and implementing shared AWS services across multiple accounts.

Experience establishing cloud governance standards, guardrails, reference architectures, or reusable infrastructure patterns.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, or another relevant advanced AWS certification.
