The Flora Bakehouse is seeking a full-time Pastry Production Baker to join our team.
The Flora Bakehouse is located on Beacon Hill, and is part of the Cafe Flora family. Our mission is to put delicious baked goods that highlight seasonal ingredients out into the world.
The ideal candidate:
- One or more years of baking experience in a commercial or culinary school setting .
- Comfortable using a proofer and commercial ovens.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Great work ethic and an upbeat and friendly demeanor.
About the Position:
- Scaling, mixing and baking a variety of pastries, laminate doughs, cinnamon rolls, scones, breads, and cookies.
- Prepping and mixing various pastry/bread components.
- Keeping a clean station and contributing to overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
Must Haves:
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work well with a team as well as independently, when necessary.
Must be able to lift 50 pound bags of flour regularly.
schedule: 4 days a week
Sundays are required for this position.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
