Directed and supervised by the Job Coach Supervisor, the Job Coach is directly involved in the process of job training. Job requirements are highly individualized and based upon client need and placement.
Essential Functions
1. Provides hands-on demonstration of work tasks and observes program participant's performance. Assists in ensuring that work site activities remain consistent with the participant's rehabilitation program.
2. Responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely rehabilitation reports. Attends staffing's, as needed, to report on participant's progress.
3. Professionally communicates with employers, work site supervisors and staff, and other VARC staff to facilitate mutual program planning.
4. Assists in developing and conducting special training programs, classes, and activities to broaden the participant's career awareness.
5. Assists in training program participants in the areas of work skills, social and personal adjustment, and community adjustment.
6. Provides assistance/job coaching to other community support programs as needed.
7. Works flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays on an as-needed basis.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
