Avid Care Services is hiring experienced Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in our residential group homes and through our in-home care services. We provide person-centered support under Virginia's DD Waiver programs, and we hold our teams to a standard of care that reflects it. We are also growing. The Direct Support Professionals who join us now will be the candidates we consider first as new homes open.
Compensation:
Competitive pay, based on experience and certifications

Shifts: Day, evening, overnight, and weekend
The Role
As a Direct Support Professional, you provide the hands-on support that allows the individuals we serve to live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible. Depending on your assignment, you will work in one of our residential group homes or in the home of an individual receiving in-home care.
Your responsibilities include:
· Supporting Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
· Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding as needed
· Administering or assisting with medications in accordance with company policy and Virginia regulations
· Monitoring health, safety, and well-being, and reporting changes in condition promptly
· Following Individual Support Plans and completing accurate daily documentation
· Providing transportation to appointments, community activities, and errands, with mileage reimbursed at $X per mile
· Encouraging independence, skill development, and meaningful community engagement
· Coordinating with supervisors, nurses, families, and case managers.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
