Deliver Products Safely. Represent the Company Professionally.
Arizona Shower Door is seeking a dependable and safety-focused DOT Delivery Driver to deliver customer orders using company delivery vans, cutaway vehicles, and straight box trucks.
This position is responsible for completing assigned routes safely and efficiently, protecting fragile and damage-sensitive products, maintaining accurate DOT and delivery documentation, and providing professional customer service at each delivery location.
The DOT Driver also assists with warehouse and production activities when driving demand is limited. This role is well suited for an experienced delivery driver who takes vehicle safety, cargo securement, customer service, documentation accuracy, and schedule reliability seriously.
What You Will Do
- Review assigned routes, delivery sequences, customer instructions, appointment windows, vehicle assignments, load plans, and known exceptions before departure.
- Complete and document required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Inspect tires, lights, mirrors, warning systems, fluids, cargo areas, lift gates, securement devices, and emergency equipment.
- Report vehicle defects immediately and follow established maintenance, roadside-assistance, and alternate-vehicle procedures.
- Verify order accuracy, quantities, labels, packaging condition, stop sequence, and delivery documentation before departure.
- Load, arrange, and secure freight within vehicle-capacity and weight-distribution limits.
- Operate company delivery vans, cutaway vehicles, and straight box trucks safely and defensively.
- Maintain accurate hours-of-service, ELD, mileage, fuel, inspection, delivery, and exception records.
- Safely position vehicles at docks, customer sites, parking areas, and unloading locations.
- Use authorized lift gates and material-handling equipment to load and unload products.
- Inspect delivery locations for traffic, slopes, overhead clearances, weather, pedestrians, ground conditions, and other potential hazards.
- Obtain proof of delivery and document shortages, refusals, concealed damage, delays, and customer concerns.
- Protect fragile products from impact, tipping, vibration, weather, contamination, and unauthorized handling.
- Communicate route progress, delays, equipment concerns, delivery exceptions, safety issues, and return-material status.
- Support warehouse and production activities such as loading, picking, receiving, staging, cycle counting, housekeeping, and material movement when not assigned to a route.
- Maintain the vehicle cab, cargo area, dock, and assigned work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
Safety and DOT Compliance
Safety is a core responsibility of this position. The DOT Driver must:
- Follow applicable federal, state, local, customer-site, and company transportation and safety requirements.

- Follow hours-of-service, inspection, reporting, cargo-securement, seat-belt, mobile-device, backing, parking, and roadside-activity requirements.
- Operate only vehicles and equipment for which required training, licensing, evaluation, and authorization have been completed.
- Immediately report crashes, injuries, citations, roadside inspections, cargo shifts, vehicle defects, product damage, severe-weather concerns, fatigue, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Stop work and escalate any unsafe vehicle, load, route, weather, fatigue, or unloading condition.
- Wear required personal protective equipment and follow plant, warehouse, dock, roadside, and customer-site safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of delivery-driving experience.
- Valid driver license and continued driving eligibility under company standards.
- Current DOT Medical Card and continued medical qualification for the assigned vehicle and route.
- Working knowledge of applicable DOT transportation and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of hours-of-service, vehicle-inspection, reporting, and cargo-securement responsibilities.
- Ability to satisfy applicable and lawfully administered DOT drug and alcohol testing, background, motor-vehicle-record, and other qualification requirements.
- Ability to use ELDs, tablets, GPS and navigation systems, delivery applications, scanners, and mobile logistics tools accurately.
- Strong organization, route awareness, time management, communication, judgment, dependability, punctuality, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently while driving and collaboratively with Production, Warehouse, Shipping, Quality, Safety, Fleet, and customer contacts.
- Ability to recognize and promptly report unsafe vehicle, cargo, traffic, weather, product, or delivery-site conditions.
- Ability to work flexible or extended routes, including occasional overnight travel.
