Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up injection molding machines, preparing raw materials, and producing quality molded parts while maintaining safe and efficient production practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and start plastic injection molding machines for production runs.
- Install molds, connect utilities, and verify machine settings.
- Prepare and stage production materials, including drying, blending, and loading resins as required.
- Process and optimize machines to produce quality parts that meet specifications.
- Perform first-piece inspections and monitor production throughout each run.
- Troubleshoot molding issues and make process adjustments to improve part quality and cycle time.
- Conduct mold and material changeovers efficiently.
- Maintain accurate production and process documentation.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic machine cleaning.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Work closely with production personnel to resolve molding and quality concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding machine setup and processing.
- Experience preparing and handling plastic resins, including material drying and blending.
- Ability to troubleshoot molding defects and optimize processing parameters.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, process sheets, and quality standards.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with scientific molding principles.
- Knowledge of various engineering and commodity thermoplastics.
- Familiarity with quality inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
